What my students say ...

SB, Ra'anana, Israel

"After nearly a half year of coaching with you, I'd like to express my appreciation for the progress we have made together. I feel I am gaining better control of my voice and learning an enormous amount about singing. I used to think that singing was just a matter of opening one's mouth and keeping a tune and that one either 'had it' or didn't have it. Had I realized that you can actually learn to sing and that there's a whole body of knowledge about voice control, projection, making harmonious sounds, fitting your voice into a group of voices and of course, breath control - I would have started lessons years ago. But somehow I grew up thinking that lessons were only for the obviously talented.

"I love our lessons. I love the fact that I have all but lost my self consciousness with you and sometimes can even 'let go'. I love the discipline of our lessons: the detailed warm up, the special exercises that focus on my weak spots, your attention to my breathing which was so screwed up when we began. I like the feedback - when you tell me that I've 'got it' and your incredible patience with me when I struggle to understand your imagery or to get my voice to do what you suggest. I am preoccupied with making 'round' sounds, lifting the roof of my palate, finding the buzz in my nose, and maintaining my breath for the longest phrase. And I'm disappointed when I let myself down. But you are unrelentingly positive in your comments. rationalizing my mistakes and positively reinforcing my small steps of progress. You are an excellent teacher; a great professional and I'm so lucky that fate - or something like that - brought you to coach me at this time.

"I'm happy to recommend you to anyone interested in developing their voice and their confidence."
